Our Story
Anatolia, the cradle of civilizations, where east meets west, homeland of olives, is where Palamidas is located, in the west coast of modern Turkey. Deepest blue Aegean ocean meets with the pristine mountains of the coast. There is always a strong wind in the evenings, surrounding our groves with salty, fresh air. And the people, they have been growing and loving olive trees for millennia.
In this hidden paradise valley, Ferzan Batum, our female founder found her passion, bringing innovation and tradition together to make the highest quality olive oils in the most sustainable way, and enjoy it with others.
Palamidas, a name paying tribute to the history of the area, is a combination of Palamut (the old name of the village near by), and Midas, one of the most famous kings of Phrygians is operating since 2018.
We use traditional methods in our olive groves, handpicking each olive, filling the crates only half way, not to create too much weight, and bring these miracle fruits quickly to our mechanical cold press which in return minimize the damage, and maximize the taste and health benefits.
In 2018, our founder made Palamidas a farming family company, adding filling, packaging and storing facilities, all with solar power, creating value for the area, and for themselves.
With a total of 10.000 trees in our own gardens, we operate under the “Good Agricultural Practices” license.
